A well-being course for adults, designed as a relaxing break in the middle of the week. Visit restorative yoga is a gentle form of yoga in which props (cushions, blankets, blocks) are used to support the body in poses held for long periods. The result is that the nervous system is calmed, tension is released and the muscles relax deeply.
For 1h30, the session includes postures supported by props, gentle stretching and time for meditation. The aim is not performance but grounding: to rediscover a deep, complete breathing, to experience a wonderful sense of relaxation and calm. What to bring: mat, blanket, water bottle, yoga bricks if you have them.
The course is run by Giovanna Possamai, a yoga teacher whose teaching style is suited to both regular practitioners and beginners keen to discover a more meditative approach than dynamic yoga. A course may be cancelled if there are not enough participants — it is best to book in advance.
During each school holiday period, the FLC opens its premises from 6 rue du Mont Ussy an intensive programme of taster sessions for all ages and abilities. Yoga features prominently, with several teachers taking turns to lead sessions in different styles (vinyasa, hatha, yin, restorative). Perfect for trying out a new activity without committing to a whole term.
