A place to quench curiosity
Les Sources Vives media library is aptly named after the underground springs that irrigate Avon and the idea that living water quenches thirst, just as knowledge quenches curiosity. Open since May 2021 in the town centre, it has transformed local cultural life. It's not just a library: it's a lively space where people come to seek out books, press, digital resources, and also take part in activities, workshops and games.
Beyond the shelves: the real life of the place
What really makes this multimedia library tick is its toy library where you'll find board games, video games and discovery games. Children and adults alike will love the creative workshops, storytelling readings, technology workshops organised on a regular basis. Toddlers have their moments with storytelling sessions that open up their imaginations. The establishment also welcomes the Micro-Folies, a cultural installation that projects collections from major national museums onto a large screen, making culture accessible to all.
Digital resources in the spotlight
Avon has a genuine range of digital resources These include digital books, online access to content and free document scanning services. Public computer workstations also allow you to print or work on site. This is an invaluable asset when you live in the Paris region.
