For the Documentary Month, the Les Sources Vives Media Centre, Avon is screening a film that shouldn’t be taken lightly: Reinventing childhood, a documentary directed by Ève Simonet and produced by on.suzane.
The film gives a voice to people victims of incest. Their accounts raise a broader question: how does the adult domination over children It takes root, is passed down and is kept silent, both within families and in society. An ensemble film, exploring anger, hope and resilience, which adopts an approach that is both intimate and political, and invites everyone to rethink their own story.
The session continues with a discussion with Lucie Langlais Vignon, a member of the Enfantiste Collective. A chance to ask questions, share your thoughts on the film, or simply listen.
The film contains depictions of physical and psychological acts that may be disturbing. The screening is open to the public aged 16 and over, free of charge and open to all. To continue the evening in the same vein or to find out about the rest of the programme, the Les Sources Vives media centre in Avon has its own page on Fontyblog.
