L'Aigle Noir is an address that has been part of the Bellifont landscape for over five centuries. Facing the castle, on the Place Napoléon Bonaparte, This former 15th-century manor house has become one of the town's most emblematic hotels. When you walk past its stone façade, you can see why Bellifontains are so attached to it: it's a piece of local history, not just a chain hotel. Now part of the MGallery part of the Accor group, it has managed to retain its character while modernising.

A heritage that can be seen and experienced

The building, originally built for Cardinal Jean Bertrand, has stood the test of time, welcoming personalities from the royal court, artists and statesmen. The interior decoration plays on this historical thread with a style Second Empire period furniture, objets d'art and the meticulous detailing of the interior. 54 rooms and suites. Each room has its own personality, far from the standardisation you might expect from an international brand. In fact, the hotel has been awarded the Green Key label, a sign of our commitment to the environment.

L'Épicerie, the up-and-coming restaurant

The hotel restaurant, At L'Épicerie, It's well worth a visit, even if you're not a resident. Under the direction of Julian Allano, The bistronomic menu showcases French terroir and seasonal produce: French-style sea bass papillote, matured entrecôte steak, or a country-style croque-monsieur for lovers of simple but well-executed pleasures. The terrace on the square, a discreet luxury

The hotel bar has a shaded terrace which opens directly onto the Place Napoléon Bonaparte. It's one of the few places in Fontainebleau where you can sip a cocktail while gazing at the château's facade. The place is just as pleasant for afternoon tea as it is for a long aperitif.
