At 44 bis Rue Rémy Dumoncel, in Avon, Head Spa & Sens has opened a space dedicated to a practice that is still rare in the sector: the Japanese head spa, a scalp and hair care ritual that draws inspiration from both hair salons and beauty salons. The salon celebrated its first anniversary in September 2026.
The ritual, step by step
Each session follows a specific sequence. It begins with a hair diagnosis using a camera, is followed by a scalp massage with jojoba oil carried out using various accessories, followed by a neck and shoulder massage. Next comes a suitable shampoo and conditioner, the’diving under the fountain, a protective treatment and a Moroccan argan oil finish. The most comprehensive treatments also include a radiofrequency comb, a mask with a steam bath, a scalp exfoliation and a hand massage. The products used are from the organic brand Natulique. As well as the capillary treatment, the salon also offers a facial lymphatic drainage.
Short hair, children, expectant mothers
The rituals are tailored to individual needs: a version designed for short hair, a short version for children and teenagers aged 7 to 16, who must be accompanied by an adult, and packages described as suitable for pregnant women. However, the treatment cannot be carried out on braided hair, or on hair with extensions, weaves or dreadlocks. After the treatment, a styling area is available for you to use at your leisure, complete with a hairdryer and straighteners: we do not offer blow-drying services; the salon embraces hair left in its natural state.
Book and walk through the door
Appointments can be made online on Planity, at any time, or by telephone. Some gift cards are available at the salon. The salon welcomes Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm and the Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm, including weekends. Closed on Mondays.
