Not quite an escape game, not quite a laser game, not quite a video game: Bomb Squad, opened on the Avenue du Maréchal de Villars, is a funny object that all families can use to make their own kind. One hour, one bomb to defuse, and five successive challenges to complete as a team. No time to sit down.

Five events in quick succession

You start with Operations, where you have to coordinate between several screens to transmit the right instructions at the right time. Then Lasers, a luminous obstacle course that turns everyone into a Sunday secret agent. Sounds uses auditory memory (reproducing sequences of sounds), Grid sends the team onto a floor of luminous tiles where they have to activate the yellows while avoiding the reds, and Bomb ends with the piloting of a 3D tank with several simultaneous controls. Five very different registers, no monotony.

More action than puzzle

If you're a fan of narrative escape games that involve digging, scenarios and complex puzzles, Bomb Squad isn't quite that. The parent company The Prophecy of the Clocks, Bomb Squad, which also runs the venue, offers a similar range of events just a few streets away. Bomb Squad is calibrated for heterogeneous groups: non-gamers, colleagues who don't know each other, families with teenagers, EVGs or EVJFs with several profiles. Communication, agility, memory, endurance - there's something for everyone.

Team building format

The group offer is explicit: up to 25 people in two hours, With a rotation every ten minutes, and the option of a cocktail at the end. For a company that wants to get its teams moving on a Thursday evening without organising a whole day, the format is very well thought out. For an EVG or a birthday party, the same logic applies.

Practice

Bomb Squad is open every day from 10am to midnight according to the slots available on reservation. Avenue du Maréchal de Villars is just a few minutes' walk from the centre, with parking in the area. Book online at fontainebleau.bombsquad.games or by telephone. Rates vary according to team size and schedule.
