This is the show that opens the season, and the choice says something about the year ahead. The Saturday 3 October 2026 at 8.30 pm, Michaël Hirsch takes to the stage alone at the Municipal theatre with «There’s joy».
«A year to learn the joy of living. That’s the challenge I set myself. And it worked – well, almost. » The whole show hinges on that «almost». Hirsch takes the question of happiness seriously, explores it as a subject, and is careful not to turn it into a self-help manual. What happens when you really try is funnier than you’d expected.
One and a half hours, written and performed by Michaël Hirsch, directed by Mickaël Chirinian, lighting design by Laurent Béal. Suitable for ages ten and over, making it one of the few evenings of the season when you can bring a pre-teen along without anyone getting bored. A meet-the-cast session is planned after the performance.
Main hall, three categories: €30 for first-time visitors (€25 (concession)), €25 for second place (€20 (concession)), €15 in Year 9 (€10 reduced rate), excluding booking fees. The reduced rate applies to jobseekers, those under 25, Conservatoire students, Navigo season ticket holders, people with disabilities, works councils and members of the press.
