They make strange noises, are nocturnal creatures and have ghostly silhouettes. Yet we have nothing to fear from the owls. Le Wednesday 4 November, from 6 pm to 8 pm, the workshop «Great, a ball of wool!» offers the chance to get to know them better.
Their ecology, their songs, their distinctive features, and an activity that children love: identifying the leftovers from their meals using the rejection balls that they leave behind. Small bones, field mouse skulls, fur: a proper naturalist’s investigation.
The workshop is led by Audrey Signol, a naturalist from the’ANVL, the association of naturalists from the Loing Valley and the Fontainebleau Massif. It forms part of the series of workshops launched by the City following the completion of its Atlas of Local Biodiversity, which has helped to increase our understanding of nature in the urban area by 20 %.
Workshop free of charge, general public, 15 seats. Registration is compulsory by Monday 2 November by email to the City of Fontainebleau’s ecological transition initiative, stating your town of residence. The meeting point will be provided in the confirmation.
