For its 23rd editionthe Briard Festival, a theatre festival whose motto can be summed up in two words, «just for a laugh», settles down in Bois-le-Roi for two evenings of comedy, the Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 October at 8.30 pm, at the Marcel Paul Hall.
A dinner with old friends, an evening that promised to be quiet, and a burglary that turns everything upside down. Absurd humour, a breakneck pace and truly bonkers situations: written by Annabelle Legrand and Martial Courcier, directed by Tim Remis, featuring Timothée Manesse, Pier Niccolo Sassetti, Santana Susnja and Christine Anglio.
A musical that reimagines French history with no regard for the history books: Louis XIII, Marie de Médicis and d’Artagnan their paths cross in a plot full of absurd twists and turns. In Fontainebleau, we have a soft spot for courtly tales, even when they turn into farces.
