Opposite the carrousel, on the corner of rue Grande and rue de France, the Délice Impérial terrace is one of those fixed points in the Bellifont landscape. You'll see the morning regulars having their coffee while reading the paper, families ending their ride with a nun, tourists collapsing in a chair after the castle. Café, brasserie, tearoom, patisserie: the house has it all, without one facet drowning out the others.

A real home-made pastry

The strong point is the patisserie, by chef Vincent, who joined the restaurant in 2004. Some of our signature cakes are well worth a visit: the Coup de Soleil, the’Chocolate Alhambra, and a nun pistachio-raspberry that has its fans. At the counter, the morning pastries, macaroons, cakes and tarts of the day follow the rhythm of the seasons. Le hot chocolate is, quite rightly, one of the darlings of Google reviews.

Lunch menu

For lunch, we have a menu of classic French cuisine with no marketing embellishments: beef steak with mushroom sauce, sole meunière, prawns flambéed in cognac, savoury crêpes. A reasonable lunchtime menu, or a la carte for those who want to take their time. Not a gastronomic address, more a reliable and pleasant city-centre brasserie with smiling service.

An all-day meeting point

The advantage of Imperial Delight, is his continuity : open every day from 8am to 7pm. You can have breakfast here before visiting the château, a quick lunch or a snack after school. The large protected terrace, facing the square, is an unbeatable vantage point on market days or during festivals. And just next door, a small stall offers sandwiches, paninis and waffles to take away when you don't have time to sit down.
