Golf de Fontainebleau
Opened in 1909, Fontainebleau Golf Club is one of the oldest and most prestigious golf courses in France. Regularly recognised in rankings of Europe's most beautiful courses, it offers an exceptional golfing experience in the heart of the Fontainebleau forest, just 800 metres from the town centre and close to the famous château.
An exceptional journey
This 18 holes par 72 spans 6,030 metres and offers a real adventure among rocks, heather, broom and bunkers. Originally designed by Julien Chantepie, redesigned in 1920 by the famous architect Tom Simpson and then modified in 1963 by Fred Hawtree, it is located on the former grounds of the imperial hunting grounds.
The course is distinguished by its relatively narrow fairways, lined with trees of various species (pines, birches, cherry trees, beeches and century-old oaks) and defended by more than 100 fine sand bunkers. Its sandy terrain guarantees optimal playing conditions regardless of the weather.
