With the switch to winter time, evening journeys are now in the dark, and that’s when the trouble starts. To prepare for this, the association Road Safety is settling in station square in Bois-le-Roi, next to the municipal police, for a Lumière et Vision village.
The event forms part of the Road Safety Awareness Weeks: ‘Lumière’ and ‘Vision’, carried out across France from 15 October to 30 November. The figures explain why: 42 % Most road deaths occur at night, and 58 % of French people say they feel unsafe when travelling after dark. At the top of the list of situations considered dangerous are the poor visibility of pedestrians, cyclists and scooter riders, and being dazzled by incorrectly adjusted headlights.
Whether you’re a pedestrian, cyclist, motorist or scooter rider, this affects everyone. Free access between 10.00 and 13.00 – ideal for catching the train or on your way back from the market.
A few words are enough, I reply personally.
