The Book lovers are the go-to event for young readers of Ages 8 to 12 at the Charité Royale Media Library, 15 Rue Royale. Next session on Saturday 19 September 2026 at 4.30 pm.
The idea can be summed up in one sentence: to explore the worlds hidden behind every book cover and share your latest favourites with fellow bookworms. So people come here to talk about what they’ve enjoyed, but also – and above all – when they’re having trouble reading, that moment when nothing seems appealing any more and you put three books down in a row after reading twenty pages of each.
This is exactly the sort of impasse that a librarian and five readers of the same age can resolve in half an hour, whereas parental pressure has the opposite effect.
