From 30 October to 1 November 2026the Grand Parquet de Fontainebleau, on Route d’Orléans, is hosting the traditional TDA Autumn Meeting. Autumn in the Île-de-France region is a busy time for equestrian sports, and Fontainebleau plays a significant part in this.
The event brings together riders from the following categories Club, Pony, Amateur and Professional. This is what makes it such an enjoyable event for the casual spectator: in the space of a single day, you might see a ten-year-old riding a Shetland pony, and, a few hours later, a professional couple tackling a course of a completely different level of difficulty. This comparison speaks volumes more than a long speech about competition levels.
The meeting falls right in the middle of the All Saints’ Day bank holiday weekend, and the’admission is free. For a family day out that costs nothing, with horses, plenty of space and a site on the edge of the forest, it’s hard to beat. Make sure you wear sturdy shoes and warm clothing – the weather at Le Grand Parquet in late October won’t forgive any carelessness when it comes to what you wear.
Free entry, Grand Parquet, Route d’Orléans, Fontainebleau. The programme and timetable are published on the website of the Île-de-France Regional Equestrian Committee.
