Le cinéma l'Ermitage de Fontainebleau is hosting an evening of nature cinema on Tuesday 31 March 2026 at 8pm with a preview screening of the documentary «The Secret of the Wolf».
The screening will be followed by a special discussion with the director. Baptiste Detruche and’Olivier Guder, Vice-Chairman of FERUS, the national association for the protection of large predators in France (bear, wolf, lynx).
In Ethiopia, on the high plateaux that rise to an altitude of over 3,600 m, lives the rarest species of canid in the world: the Ethiopian wolf. As well as being rare, it has evolved far from its cousins and developed a unique and surprising behaviour: it forages for flowers. The film plunges us into the intimacy of this little-known animal, in breathtaking landscapes.
It's an evening that has particular resonance in Fontainebleau, a woodland par excellence, where the issue of cohabitation with wildlife is at the heart of environmental concerns.
Tuesday 31 March at 8pm, Cinéma l'Ermitage, 8 Rue de France, Fontainebleau. In the presence of the director and Olivier Guder (FERUS).
