The Esquisse Hôtel Culturel in Barbizon opens the doors to its new exhibition with a opening on Thursday 23 April 2026 at 6pm. An unmissable event for art lovers who frequent this venue, which has become a cultural landmark in the heart of the painters’ village.
Following the exhibition dedicated to the Flemish Luminist painter Edmond Verstraeten, which runs in parallel until 28 September, L’Esquisse is unveiling a new artistic exhibition. The opening is an opportunity to get a sneak preview of the works, meet the artists and enjoy a convivial gathering in the unique setting of this cultural hotel.
Located at 18 Grande Rue, right at the heart of the historic Barbizon painters’ route, L’Esquisse carries on the village’s artistic tradition by regularly hosting temporary exhibitions that create a dialogue between contemporary art and the village’s artistic heritage. The opening is on free admission, in keeping with the venue’s tradition of openness.
A few words are enough, I reply personally.
