The Esquisse Hôtel Culturel in Barbizon welcomes the Friday 24 April 2026 a concert by classical music with the cellist Marion Frère and the pianist Théo Penven. A duo of young talents making their mark on the French chamber music scene.
Marion Frère studied cello with Marc Coppey at Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), after studying at the Toulon and Lyon conservatoires and at the Haute École de Musique in Lausanne with François Salque. She is currently pursuing an artist diploma at the École Normale de Musique de Paris in the class of’Henri Demarquette.
Théo Penven, Marion Frère, a precocious pianist trained from the age of 4, shares a musical complicity that expresses itself in the repertoire of sonatas for cello and piano. Together, they explore the great works of the classical repertoire with a freshness and intensity that have already won them acclaim on the Parisian stages, notably at the Paris Opera. Salle Cortot.
The setting at L'Esquisse lends itself ideally to chamber music: a room on a human scale, warm acoustics and the unique atmosphere of the painters' village. A not-to-be-missed evening for lovers of fine sound and up-and-coming young talent.
