When autumn sets in, the Django Reinhardt Festival leaves the meadow in the castle grounds for the velvety Théâtre municipal de Fontainebleau. Jazz at the Theatre 2026, its autumn event, is back from Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 November with three evenings and two concerts a night, at 8.00 pm and then at 9.30 pm.

Three evenings, six concerts

  • Thursday 26 November : the guitar duo Fanou Torracinta and Hugo Guezbar at 8 pm, then on Mathias Lévy Trio and his «Revisiting Grappelli» at 9.30 pm, a tribute to the violin playing of Stéphane Grappelli, Django’s long-standing collaborator.
  • Friday 27 November : the singer Emma Smith a quartet performance at 8 pm, followed by a performance by the Cuban pianist Roberto Fonseca and the cellist Vincent Segal at 9.30 pm.
  • Saturday 28 November : the singer Tyreek McDole at 8 pm, then Gildaa at 9.30 pm.

More than just a series of concerts

The festival turns the theatre into a place where people come together through music. A photography exhibition will be taking part in the event from Thursday 26th and on Saturday 28th, from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pmthe «Young Talents» podium» hands the baton to the next generation, free admission.

The Django Reinhardt Festival, which originated in Samois-sur-Seine – where the guitarist had settled – has made the grounds of the Château de Fontainebleau its summer home. This November event is an intimate extension of the festival, taking place indoors in the heart of the town. Tickets are now on sale, and bookings can be made via the Jazz ticket office at the Django Reinhardt Festival Theatre.
