Fontainebleau now has its own short film festival. For its first edition, the association Fontainebleau 7th Art organises «Things are hotting up in the Fontainebleau region», the screening and awards ceremony for which will take place on Sunday 15 November at CinéParadis.
All the films by less than 15 minutes were accepted. The selected short films are screened in the cinema, followed by a a jury chaired by the director Nicolas Bary, comprising professionals from the film and cultural sectors, presents the awards to the winners, including one regional special offer which celebrates screenwriters and directors from the Fontainebleau region.
The association aims to highlight the pool of filmmakers in the southern Île-de-France region and to facilitate meetings – and perhaps even future collaborations – with directors from across France. A town that has served as the backdrop for so many film shoots certainly deserves to see its own talents on screen.
Evening on Sunday 15 November at 7.00 pm at CinéParadis, at Les Halles de Villars. Flat rate: €5. The awards ceremony will take place after the screening. Information on the the Fontainebleau 7e Art association’s social media accounts.
