Here’s a car boot sale where you can hunt for bargains for a good cause. The charity Hand in Hand, with the events department of the’Care Home in the Fontainebleau area, sets up its tables on the ground floor of the Jean-Marc Costrejean’s residence, Rue du Docteur Clément Matry.
On the stalls: some clothing, the crockeryand glassesand books and jewellery. There are also some works created by the residents themselves, which gives the walk a little extra charm. To keep you going throughout the day, there will be jams and quiches to take away, and hot or cold drinks to enjoy here.
The most important point can be summed up in a single line: the profits will be used to fund projects for residents of the care home. One Tuesday in November, it’s a chance to open a door you don’t often open, to unearth a tea set or a novel, and to bring joy to someone without even knowing them.
Open from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm.
A few words are enough, I reply personally.
