Galerie ArtFontainebleau presents an exceptional exhibition: ENCS and Onemizer, two of the biggest names in French street art, are working as a duo under the title «Writing Love». These two artists bring undeniable artistic legitimacy to the urban movement.
Hamed ENCS is Franco-Pakistani, entirely self-taught, and has been active since the 90s. His career embodies the survival and emergence of French urban art, at a time when it had far less legitimacy than it does today.
Cyril Valade, alias Onemizer, is one of the top 50 urban artists according to the Guide to Contemporary Art. His work combines technical mastery and emotional charge, enabling him to cross the worlds of graffiti and contemporary art.
The collaborative fresco was created 13 and 14 February on the Fontainebleau street art wall. You can discover the work in person as you stroll through the town.
The ArtFontainebleau Gallery, founded in 2009 by Marco and Sandra Schütz, is a major player in urban art in Fontainebleau. It has been supporting artists and documenting the scene for over a decade. Open Friday and Saturday 10.30am-1pm and 2pm-7pm. Free exhibition until 18 April.
