Anyone who has led a charity, a residents’ association or a team will be familiar with the question: how to make decisions together without meetings dragging on or three people having to do all the work? That is the theme of the Mural of Possibilities offered by the branch Sud 77 by the Shiftersthe Saturday 26 September, from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm, at the’Fontainebleau Town Hall.
The workshop is participatory: we work in small groups, starting with our own issues, and come away with practical solutions. The workshop is structured around four main areas of focus: share decision-making, to organise oneself effectively, manage relations, and to encourage participation and involvement for everyone. Shared governance, collective intelligence, cooperation: these grand concepts take on a very practical form.
Shifters are the volunteers who support the work of the Shift Project on the energy and societal transition. The Sud 77 branch, based in Fontainebleau, organises a monthly Transition Café on a different theme, and this mural forms part of this series, with the support of the Town Council and Fontainebleau en Transition.
The workshop is free of charge but the Places are limited : registration is via the Ticket office for the ‘Fresque des Possibles’ in Seine-et-Marne. Town Hall, 40 Rue Grande.
