We’ve accepted the challenge: fewer kilometres through the forest, more sections in front of the public. On a looped course, walkers pass each other, cheer each other on and overtake one another in full view of the spectators. Anyone who has ever run on a circuit knows that the atmosphere is a world away from that of a route where you’re on your own for an hour.
Le 14 km MNCC is a National Label. It is open only for FFA licence holders, from the Cadet category onwards, and he is qualifying round for the French Championships for members of Athlé Compétition. The 9.5 km run and the 2 km youth race, however, remain open to everyone.
This year, Azimut Sport Compétition Fontainebleau is partnering with the’ARSLA, the association for research into amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. One euro is donated for every registration, and there’s nothing to stop you from adding to it yourself.
