It’s one of the loveliest traditions of summer in Avignon, and it’s already in its seventh edition. Every Wednesday from 8 July to 26 August 2026, from 7 pm to 9 pm, the Bel-Ébat Open-Air Café is hosting an open-air concert. It’s free, it takes place at the end of the day when the heat has eased off, and you can turn up however you like.
Please note, there is No concert on 12 August : the programme takes a break in the middle of the month.
The Bel-Ébat open-air café is the sort of place you won’t find by looking at a map. It’s tucked away in a residential neighbourhood of Avon, far from the tourist trails, and the clientele is mainly local. You’ll find families with children running between the tables, regulars who meet up every week, and a few residents of Bellifontaine who’ve made the ten-minute journey.
The Latin flavour of this edition – from Brazilian music to Afro-Cuban jazz – sets the tone: you can sit back and listen, or get up and dance; no one will give you a dirty look. The dates and details of the bands are published on the the ‘Bel-Ébat Wednesdays’ page for the town of Avon.
Guinguette de Bel-Ébat, 12 Rue Jacques Durand, 77210 Avon. Free entry.
Please note: We would be delighted to check your establishment details. It's free, but to make sure it's you, please complete the information below.
