Every summer, Fontainebleau is visited by groups of students from the best music schools in the US, on tour across Europe. England, France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany: a one-off concert in every country we visit, and ours is taking place right here, in the heart of the city.
From the mid-June to early July, these young musicians set up their music stands in the main squares of Fontainebleau before continuing under the vaults of the’Saint-Louis church. Brass instruments, marching bands, energy: you stop as you walk past, you listen, and it’s free of charge.
The programme consists of several events, each led by a different group:
