The 28 and 29 March 2026the Grand Parquet de Fontainebleau is transformed into a giant garden for the latest edition of the Plant Days and the Art of Gardening. And this year, it's an anniversary: the event is celebrating its 10 years.
The adventure began in 2016 in Crécy-la-Chapelle. For four years, the Journées des Plantes were then held at the Blandy-les-Tours Castle, in a sumptuous medieval setting. Then in 2025, the event took another step forward by moving to the Grand Parquet de Fontainebleau, with a much larger space to accommodate exhibitors and visitors. The 2026 edition marks the second year on this site and the tenth overall. A fine achievement for an event that has become a springtime classic in Seine-et-Marne.
The richness of the Journées lies in the diversity of the exhibitors. 130 professionals are expected: specialist nurseries, horticulturists, craftsmen gardeners, landscapers, outdoor decorators and tool experts. It's the ideal place to find varieties that you wouldn't find in a garden centre, ask advice from enthusiasts, and leave with treasures for your garden or balcony.
In addition to the exhibition and sale, the Journées offer a programme of’practical workshops continuous : pruning fruit trees, techniques cuttings, You'll be able to enjoy a wide range of activities, including potting, arranging planters, cutting slate to create plant markers, and even an introduction to the’botanical watercolours. You come with your hands in your pockets, you leave with your hands in the ground.
