There are some film nights that are unlike any other. The one on Tuesday 27 October at 8.00 pm at CinéParadis Fontainebleau is one of them: Screen 1 is showing «Mylène Farmer, Égrégore, the preview», a major film event broadcast just one evening in cinemas across France, three days before the album’s release.
Egregore is the 13th studio album by Mylène Farmer, due to be released on 30 October. Rather than unveiling it track by track on the radio, the singer chose to give cinema-goers the first glimpse of it, with a film by’1 hour 7 minutes where songs take shape through images. Somewhere between a giant music video, a concert and a documentary, it is an experience designed for the screen and for the sound of a real concert hall.
The tracks have been brought to life on screen by several directors, including Julia Ducournau, Palme d’Or for «Titane», Gilles Lellouche and François Hanss, a long-standing collaborator of the singer’s, who directed the film. Suffice to say that fans will find plenty to talk about in the run-up to the album’s release, and that those curious to find out more will have a great opportunity to discover the artist’s visual world on a grand scale.
Just one session, just one evening: it’s better to book your ticket for Mylène Farmer’s preview screening at CinéParadis without delay. To get into the spirit of things, the Trailer for *Égrégore*, the preview screening sets the tone. And to keep the evening going, the CinéParadis profile on Fontyblog brings together everything you need to know about the cinema at the Halle de Villars.
A few words are enough, I reply personally.
