There are daytime visits, with the crowds and the sun shining on the façades. And then there are at night, when Fontainebleau Castle empties, the gardens fall silent and, for one evening, you become a privileged guest at the French court.
From 9 July to 10 September 2026, all the Thursdays and Saturdays, the «Summer Night at Court» guided tour begins in the gardens at dusk, then continues into the iconic rooms and more secluded spaces of the château – the parts that the general public rarely sees. Dim lighting, silence, and the feeling of walking through a setting that has remained frozen in time since the 18th century.
The opening hours follow the sunset throughout the summer:
Count €27 full price and €19 (concessionary rate), in addition to the admission ticket and subject to booking. For this sort of event, places sell out quickly, so it’s best to book via the Fontainebleau Castle online ticket office.
