Throughout March, Fontainebleau town centre is transformed into an open-air art gallery. Art Showcases, the 7 to 30 March 2026, In addition to the local artists, the artists' galleries are taking over the shop fronts of local businesses to display the work of local and regional artists.
The concept is simple and appealing: shop windows in the town centre become temporary exhibition spaces. As you stroll through the streets of Fontainebleau, you'll discover paintings, sculptures, photographs and other works of art, all on a free artistic tour. It's an original way of bringing together commerce and culture, revitalising the town centre and highlighting the vitality of the local art scene.
The exhibition is accompanied by an event at the’Fontainebleau Tourist Office, A selection of works is also on display at the museum, providing a focal point for the exhibition.
This event is a reminder that Fontainebleau has been a land of artists since the Middle Ages.’Barbizon School, has never ceased to inspire designers.
From 7 to 30 March 2026, Fontainebleau town centre. Free admission. The exhibition at the Tourist Office (place de la République) completes the tour.
