Every spring, the Rando des 3 Châteaux brings together thousands of walkers on the roads of southern Seine-et-Marne. The principle is simple: walk between three monuments spanning eight centuries of history, the Château de Fontainebleau, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte and the Château de Blandy-les-Tours. All on signposted routes through countryside and forest, with refreshments along the way and a festive finish in Blandy.
From 4 km family circuit around Blandy (accessible to pushchairs) at 42 km long course Starting in Fontainebleau for experienced walkers, there's something for every calf. Intermediate walkers can choose between 7, 14, 21 or 28 km, departing from Blandy, Melun, Saint-Méry or Vaux-le-Vicomte. A route of 14 km Nordic walking is also planned.
All routes converge on the Blandy-les-Tours Castle, There will be an entertainment village, games for children, live entertainment and on-site catering. Be careful not to leave too early (the refreshments will not be ready) or too late (the routes will be disrupted). Free car parks near the start, and the stations of Fontainebleau-Avon and Melun are easily accessible from Paris (Transilien line R).
