I can't recommend enough a visit to the Fontainebleau golf course, the pride and joy of our region. This jewel nestled in the heart of our magnificent forest is well worth a visit. Its excellence has recently been recognized by a number of prestigious awards:

• In Golf World magazine's 2023 ranking of the 100 best courses in continental Europe, our golf course came 3rd, just behind Morfontaine and Utrecht de Pan in the Netherlands.
• Fairways magazine named it the most beautiful golf course in France in its 2024 awards, retaining its title from 2023 and 2022.
• It was also awarded the Bronze Label for Biodiversity, as part of the Golf pour la Biodiversité program supported by the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle.

These distinctions confirm the reputation of the Golf de Fontainebleau as one of the most prestigious and appreciated courses, not only in France but also in Europe.

The route

Created in 1909 by architect Julien Chantepie, this 18-hole course stretches over 6,137 meters of undulating terrain, dotted with century-old pines and sandstone boulders characteristic of our forest. The technical layout challenges players of all levels with its narrow, winding fairways, strategically placed bunkers and fast, undulating greens.
