This gem nestled in the heart of our magnificent forest is definitely worth a visit. Its excellence has recently been recognised with numerous prestigious awards:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n    <li>In Golf World magazine's 2023 ranking of the 100 best courses in continental Europe, our golf course climbed to third place, just behind Morfontaine and Utrecht de Pan in the Netherlands.<\/li>\n    <li>Fairways magazine named it the most beautiful golf course in France in its 2024 rankings, retaining the title it won in 2023 and 2022.<\/li>\n    <li>It has also been awarded the Bronze Label for Biodiversity as part of the Golf for Biodiversity programme supported by the National Museum of Natural History.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>These distinctions confirm the reputation of Fontainebleau Golf Club as one of the most prestigious and popular courses, not only in France but also in Europe.<\/p>\n\n<h2>The route<\/h2>\n\n<p>Created in 1909 by architect Julien Chantepie, this 18-hole course stretches across 6,137 metres of undulating terrain, dotted with century-old pine trees and sandstone rocks characteristic of our forest. The technical layout challenges players of all levels with its narrow, winding fairways, strategically placed bunkers and fast, undulating greens.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Facilities and services<\/h2>\n\n<p>The golf course has modern facilities to meet the needs of golfers:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n    <li>Practice area with 22 stations, 11 of which are covered<\/li>\n    <li>Putting green and pitching green<\/li>\n    <li>Training bunker<\/li>\n    <li>Pro shop<\/li>\n    <li>Changing rooms<\/li>\n    <li>Restaurant and bar with terrace<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2>Courses and teaching<\/h2>\n\n<p>Qualified professionals offer courses for all levels, including individual lessons, group courses and courses for beginners and juniors.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Competitions and events<\/h2>\n\n<p>The Fontainebleau golf course has a rich history of competitions, having hosted the French Open several times.
