A bistronomic restaurant on the corner of Rue de France and the pedestrianised Rue des Sablons. The chef <strong>K\u00e9vin Pernette<\/strong> It features a style of cooking that doesn\u2019t need to try too hard, <strong>as pleasing to the eye as it is generous<\/strong>. A table you won\u2019t forget.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/le-bistrot-9\/\">Le Bistrot 9<\/a>, on Montebello Street, is performing the <strong>Belle \u00c9poque d\u00e9cor<\/strong> and a modern take on French cuisine, featuring homemade chips that have earned quite a reputation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/the-bacchus\/\">Le Bacchus<\/a>, Rue Richelieu, is <strong>the perfect choice for a night out at the theatre<\/strong> : he is facing the <a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/fontainebleau-municipal-theatre\/\">Municipal theatre<\/a>, and it combines the bistro with a proper wine bar, including whiskies and rums. Have dinner beforehand, then enjoy a drink afterwards, without having to drive.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/the-taste-workshop\/\">The Taste Workshop<\/a> serves its semi-gourmet cuisine <strong>under a vaulted cellar<\/strong>, Rue des Trois Maillets. The hotel has reopened after <strong>three years of construction work<\/strong>, and the table alongside it: a Napoleonic-style bistro modelled on officers\u2019 messes, seating 72, <strong>bistronomic level<\/strong> and the facilities that go with it. It is the finest house on Rue Grande, and it is brand new.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/la-petite-ardoise\/\">La Petite Ardoise<\/a>, Montebello Street, is <strong>a firm favourite known to everyone in Bellifontaine<\/strong>. His signature: the <strong>Pamfou snails with brie<\/strong>, which in themselves are reason enough to pop in.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/mansard-roof\/\">Le Mansart<\/a> runs the traditional brasserie with its <strong>a large terrace facing the castle entrance<\/strong>, Place du G\u00e9n\u00e9ral de Gaulle. <a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/the-trend\/\">Le Tendance<\/a>, on Rue Grande, is a modern French brasserie, <strong>Everything is homemade and we\u2019re open seven days a week<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/au-bellifontain\/\">Au Bellifontain<\/a> takes responsibility for the <strong>100 per cent home-grown, organic and sustainable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/bistrot-des-amis\/\">Le Bistrot des Amis<\/a> is <strong>the first brasserie at the top of Montebello Street<\/strong>, opposite the Place du Jet-d\u2019Eau, serving organic and locally sourced produce, with a heated terrace in winter.<\/p>\n<p>As for Avon, <strong>not far from the station<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/the-smile\/\">Le Smile<\/a> serves up the sort of bistro food that keeps you coming back, with a cocktail bar and live music. <strong>His theatre is always full<\/strong>, and that is the best proof there is.<\/p>\n<p>And for those who want a taste of the forest on their plate, <a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/la-croix-daugas\/\">the La Croix d\u2019Augas inn<\/a>, on the outskirts of the town, serves <strong>raclette, fondue and tartiflette<\/strong> in a chalet-style setting. That\u2019s the chef <strong>Robin Sanchez<\/strong>, the same as at Le Cadran, and the house has one thing that no one else in town has: a <strong>a landscaped, enclosed garden measuring 900 square metres<\/strong> and a 160-square-metre terrace on Rue d\u2019Avon. It\u2019s also a lovely spot in <a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/where-to-brunch-in-fontainebleau\/\">brunch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/antica-trattoria\/\">Antica Trattoria<\/a>, Rue des Bouchers, and <a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/il-primo-bacio\/\">Il Primo Bacio<\/a>, on Montebello Street, are <strong>the two Italian institutions in Fontainebleau<\/strong>. The first is a family-run trattoria, <strong>homemade fresh pasta and generous portions<\/strong>. The second has been running the business since <strong>more than twenty years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fontyblog.fr\/en\/places\/chez-deme-italian-restaurant-pizzeria-fontainebleau\/\">Chez D\u00e9m\u00e9<\/a> is run by D\u00e9m\u00e9trio Lavilla, a former pizza chef at Antica Trattoria who went on to become <strong>2019 French pizza champion<\/strong> in the large pizzas category, then <strong>champion of \u00cele-de-France 2023<\/strong>. Its terrace, on Boulevard Magenta, overlooks the ch\u00e2teau.
